Mobilizing applications has been an Intel IT goal over the past several years. After proceeding down the path of vendor provided mobile application platforms, IT decided to move in a different strategic direction and build out a custom mobile application platform utilizing Cloud Foundry and Open Source technologies. The resulting platform has reduced the costs to Intel IT, simplified the hardware landscape, while at the same time providing a more agile way for developing and provisioning mobile applications at Intel.
